Dear friends and colleagues,
this Internet site has been set up to encourage and develop scientific collaboration in the Mediterranean area in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, biotechnology and related fields. It was organised by a group of friends to introduce the visitor to the various scientific programs initiated and developed through the network.

In addition, this site allows you to give information concerning your own specific fields of interest. The network staff will provide every scientist connected with information about academic and scientific matters relevant to the Mediterranean area.
On request, the staff can also assist you in establishing contacts and initiating joint projects. We believe that knowing about one another is the prerequisite for meaningful collaboration. We therefore ask you to devote five minutes of your time to filling in the information box on the page indicated or to give us the requested information by fax or e-mail addressed to Alessandra Padiglia; you will then be contacted as soon as possible.

Our principal aim is to improve Mediterranean "biochemical" cooperation in order to organize new joint projects for the conservation and development of the Mediterranean area.
We believe that through such collaboration the scientific community can make a contribution to the peace, friendship and well-being of the Mediterranean countries. If you support our initiative, please tell your biochemical friends and colleagues about the network. In this way you can really help us in this task.
